Celebrating Chris's 28th Birthday

Since his birthday is October 31st only fitting he has a Halloween thyme party. Nora gave him a great one and it was enjoyed by all of us.

Cop Miki and little did she know she would find a Prisoner at the party to arrest and Billy the Monster

Me and Tom "Outlet and Plug" Joanie the "Cheerleader" with Rhi "Edward Sissorhands"

We all had fun celebrating Chris's Birthday Party and Susan's Chicken Dance was the best.... She won best costume. Sarah Palin was contesting the counting of the ballots but she forgot the talent portion of the night and with the chicken dance she just didn't have a chance.

Kyla as Sarah Palin. She was great, she had price tags on all her expensive clothes given to her by the Republican Party.

Mary the "Gypsy", Laura the "Firefighter", Andrew and Stephanie, Katie the "Bridesmaid" and Nora "Little Bo Peep" with Rob the "Ballot Man"
I am already excited to celebrate Chris's 29th Birthday!!!

Great News

We are going to be blessed with another Grandchild in May. Jennifer is 13 wks now and we have waited for the green light from her to tell the world. She is being monitored closely by specialists and of course I am sure everything will be just fine. Her last day of work is October 31st which I am envious of.
I am planning on a trip to see them in early December for a few days. I need some hugs from Ben. He doesn't really like to talk on the phone but Jennifer gets him to sing or tell a story and holds the phone out for me to hear him. He is growing up so fast.
Not much else happening here in Yakima. Starting to cool down some but gorgeous days of 60 plus and lots of sunshine.

A Lot Has Happened

A lot has happened since I started this Blog. Nora and Chris got married and it was a beautiful ceremony and reception was a blast. We all had a great time celebrating with them. They both did a fantastic job in putting the day together.

We then got to spend a couple days with Todd, Jennifer and our wonderful Grandson Ben at our Rochester home. He is amazing, and of course wish we could see them all more but we make the best of the time we have when they are here.

After the wedding Tom and I decided we needed to consolidate our living arrangements to only two places instead of three. We rented a duplex in Yakima moved Tom's stuff from that awful apartment he was renting with the help of Justin , Kenny and Billy. Had the movers come and pack us up and emptied out our home in Rochester. And now I am driving up to Everett mid-week from Yakima. It is 60 miles further but the drive is much better then going south on I-5 through all those cities at rush hour. I will be working from my home office mostly full time when the snow starts. I will really miss the Koetje's in Stanwood, my second home. They are the best. The new place is a lot smaller than our house so the 2 car garage is stacked as high as can be with the "left overs" even after we gave a ton of stuff to Billy.

Billy moved to Wenatchee and is living with his friends, Kenny, Joe and Justin in a large house and working at Local Tel. He is doing server maintenance and stuff with computers, you know me I am not sure on all the technical terms. They gave him a car to drive and he is very happy to be settled down and making a living doing what he knows best. Billy's Birthday was September 15th and he turned 29. No more for him, it is making me old.....
September 15th Tom and I celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary. Where have all the years gone? I feel we are only 35 !!! I was at a meeting in Seattle so on the following Friday we went out to a very nice restaurant in Yakima called the "Greystone".
Nora came to visit us in Yakima when Chris was up "picnicking" with Tony. It was fun, she tried out the guest bedroom. So if any of you are heading through Yakima, please stop in, guest room is open.

Goodbye for now and hopefully I will post more often.

First Entry

Since all the family seems to be getting the blogging bug, I decided I better join in on the fun.

We are getting very excited about Chris and Nora's Wedding and can hardly believe it is only a couple weeks away. Received a couple of the panic calls in last couple of days so I except those to pick up this week. It is going to be wonderful and they have both worked so hard and getting it all planned how could it be anything else then great.

Tom is home in Rochester this week-end and that has been very nice, but back to Yakima this afternoon and me to Everett for a week of work. Sadie ( our dog ) sure doesn't like our comings and goings she gets very excited when we walk in the door and barks at the suitcases when we leave. I hope I can get moved to Yakima one of these days to end this driving all the time.
